Meet the Wisconsin RLC Contact, David P. Baumgardner:

David Baumgardner is currently a law student at Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/International Studies from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland; and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Widener University, in Chester, Pennsylvania. He served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army; and has over 14 years Federal civilian service.

David began his political career in 1972, at the age of 9, doing literature drops for Republican candidates around his Cherry Hill, New Jersey neighborhood. Between 1980 and 1982 he served as Chair of the Camden County Teenage Republicans, in Camden County, New Jersey. In 1983 and 1984, he went on to chair the Mount Saint Mary’s College, College Republicans; and has stayed active in both Southern New Jersey and Wisconsin politics since college. David is a member of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, and the Vernon County Republican Party. In 2006 and 2008 he served as the lead delegate and Acting County Chair from Vernon County to the respective Republican Party of Wisconsin state conventions. He is involved with GOPAC, and is an active member of both the Republican National Lawyer’s Association and the Federalist Society. David is a strict-construction Constitutionalist. In 2008 he served as a precinct captain for Ron Paul for President 2008 in Union Township, [La Farge] Wisconsin.

David resides in rural La Farge, Wisconsin with his wife and 2 sons; where he enjoys shooting sports, hiking and camping in the Coulee Region, and kayaking along the Kickapoo River. He is involved locally with the NRA, the Boy Scouts of America, the Friends of the Kickapoo Reserve, the Midwest Renewable Energy Association, and Americans for Prosperity.
